Insurance Information

Our practice participates in many insurance programs including BCBS, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Aetna, Medcost, Coventry, and many more.  Please call us for more detailed information.  As a courtesy to you, our office staff will file your insurance claim with participating managed care plans.  We accept cash, check, Visa, Discover, Mastercard, and American Express.

Did you know that most insurance plans cover 100% of routine preventive exams every year for patients of all ages?

If you have visiting family or close friends who are in need of medical attention, we will gladly do our best to accommodate them at Davidson Family Medicine.

Our doctors are genuinely concerned about those individuals in our community who are not medically insured.  If you or a family member is uninsured or has an insurance plan that we do not participate in, our practice is willing to provide medical care at a substantially modified rate.  If this is not feasible, we helped to establish and do volunteer at Davidson’s Free Clinic of Our Towns which is held every Thursday evening at the Ada Jenkins Center.

IMPORTANT:

We do not participate in BCBS Blue Local because we have been excluded from that plan by Carolinas Healthcare System and BCBS.

Testing for active Covid-19 infection is now available in our office.

No need to go anywhere else. Accurate, reliable, and available when you need it.

Davidson Family Medicine now has ample reliable and trustworthy Covid-19 testing capability through our national lab partner Quest Diagnostics.

If there is a need for you or your family to test for infection with or without symptoms, we can do that (safely) here in the office with 1-2 day results. There is no need to travel to an unknown CVS, urgent care clinic, or hospital lab center for these tests.

The Quest PCR test, which is performed through a naso-pharyngeal specimen, is extremely sensitive and specific. It is more accurate and should not be confused with the “Abbott PCR rapid test” that is being performed elsewhere. CVS has given no details about who is performing their tests, the reliability of their tests, and results are not rapid. Click here for the details of the Quest test.

Examples of testing situations:

We continue to offer the IgG antibody blood (serology) tests to determine if a person has had active infection in the past.

Please contact us with any concerns or questions.
