On 1/30/23, Dr. Hughes unexpectedly resigned from Davidson Family Medicine. He will be moving his practice closer to his hometown and family in Statesville, NC. We do not know his exact location or start date.
With the unforeseen departure of Dr. Hughes, we understand that a disruption in any doctor-patient relationship is difficult. Our goal is to make the transition of care as seamless as possible. We are actively recruiting another family physician to join our practice and will keep you informed. His former nurse Ashley is still with our practice and assisting with any issues that arise with his unexpected departure.
In the meantime, the other eight providers at Davidson Family Medicine are all available to see Dr. Hughes’s patients. We will be reaching out to previously scheduled patients to offer a convenient appointment. We apologize for any appointments that need to be rescheduled. We are excited to announce that Drs. Emmett and Becky Montgomery, long-time trusted family physicians in Davidson, have joined our team to offer same-day urgent appointments. This will help to prevent our patients from having to go to urgent care centers, Minute Clinics, or ER’s. We are also available 24/7 to evaluate and manage urgent matters that occur after hours.
